Genteman & Pro
The Ferrari Challenge is divided into four categories: Trofeo Pirelli Pro, Trofeo Pirelli AM, Coppa Shell Pro, and Coppa Shell AM. When registering for the championship, a Ferrari committee determines which category each driver belongs to.
This classification makes the series exciting for all drivers, as it ensures that competitors face evenly matched opponents within their respective classes.
All participants drive identical Ferrari 296 Challenge cars, with only limited setup adjustments allowed. This means that it’s up to each driver and their team’s strategy to get the most out of the car and secure a spot at the top of the field.
Talent Pool
The Trofeo Pirelli Pro class is characterized by a strong concentration of young talents striving to make a name for themselves in motorsport. Additionally, this class also includes current and former professional racing drivers.
Danish driver Nicklas Nielsen, now a factory driver and Hypercar driver for Ferrari, made his breakthrough in the Ferrari Challenge. Together with Formula Racing, he won both the European Championship and the World Championship in the Trofeo Pirelli Pro class in 2017.
