Strong Grid Ready for Formula GT Challenge Finale

After three successful rounds of the Formula GT Challenge, the championship now reaches its finale, taking place alongside the DM Final at FDM Jyllandsringen this coming weekend. The inaugural season of the new Scandinavian GT championship for race cars from Maranello has delivered plenty of close racing, excitement and entertainment for Ferrari fans and motorsport enthusiasts alike – and with 12 cars entered for the finale weekend, the scene is set for a spectacular conclusion.

There is plenty for spectators to look forward to at the final major motorsport event of the year. The entry list features a varied field of both 458 and 488 models, as well as the latest addition to Ferrari’s GT racing stable, the 296 Challenge.

Drivers will be travelling from both Denmark and Sweden, including experienced Swede Tommy Lindroth, who finished runner-up in the official European Ferrari Challenge championship last year and has more than 180 races to his name. Danish adventurer and racing driver Lars Rolner will also line up for the season finale, joined by 26-year-old talent Cecilie Nør-Jensen, who normally competes in the junior Nordic 4 series but will also take on the Formula GT Challenge this weekend in a Ferrari 458 Challenge.

Two championship titles will be decided at the DM Final. While Denmark’s Andreas Borris leads the Trofeo Pirelli class in his Ferrari 296 Challenge and is the clear favourite for this year’s title, the Coppa Formula class remains wide open, with Swedish Ferrari 488 drivers Tommy Lindroth and Christian Appelberg arriving at the finale weekend tied at the top of the standings.

“We are really looking forward to being part of the DM Final, which traditionally attracts thousands of motorsport fans to FDM Jyllandsringen. It has been a valuable learning season for Formula GT Challenge, and we are pleased that the growing interest in the series allows us to field a strong grid of cars for the final round of the year. With competitors from both Denmark and Sweden – including young talents as well as experienced drivers – we are moving in the right direction in terms of our ambitions for the series,” says Chresten Hansen, Race Coordinator at Formula Automobile.

However, the concept behind Formula GT Challenge is not solely about the on-track action and excitement in the grandstands, but also about the experience behind the scenes. Promoted by Formula Automobile – the Scandinavian importer and dealer of Ferrari and Maserati – the series arrives at FDM Jyllandsringen with its own dedicated paddock. All cars are housed together in one large tent, allowing race fans to get up close to the Italian race cars and follow the activities in the garage area.

The fourth and final round of the 2025 Formula GT Challenge season will take place at FDM Jyllandsringen on 27–28 September. The weekend will also feature season finales in other series such as Touring Car Championship Denmark, DS3 Cup, Radical Cup Scandinavia and Nordic 4. Tickets are available via the FDM Jyllandsringen website.
